Karolina Pliskova v Katie Boulter Head to Head
There have been two previous matches between these two players and both players have won one apiece. As recently as in Eastbourne earlier this month, these two had played out a second round encounter which Boulter had won.

Pliskova Takes Her Time against Martincova
It took Pliskova a slow start, a rain break and an hour and 47 minutes to make it through her first round match against fellow Tereza Martincova. And it sure wasn’t easy.
The previous year’s losing finalist, Pliskova traded serves in the very first two games of the encounter and was about to serve for the set at 5-3 when she dropped it again after delivering three break-points.
The set went into a tie-breaker where Pliskova gained control and saw it through 7-1.
Another early exchange of service breaks took the pair to 2-2 in the second set, but when the going got tough, it was Pliskova who withstood the pressure, breaking her opponent in the 11th game. An easy hold followed next allowing Pliskova the game, set and match.
Things could get tougher now for Pliskova against a player who had only just beaten her earlier this month.

Boulter Continues to Impress, Beats Burel
In a match lasting an hour and 20 minutes, Boulter overcame the Clara Burel challenge to move to the second round at Wimbledon for the third time in a row.
Boulter withstood eight aces and 20 winners from Burel to win 7-5, 6-3, coming back from a break down in the first set to break back four times in the encounter.
The Brit, down 3-0 in the first set, first levelled things off in the fifth game and then got the better of Burel’s serve in the 11th game of the opening set. She then served it out, winning it off the second set-point.
Things went on serve till the sixth game as both players fought tooth and nail but once Boulter sensed an opening, she broke Burel in the seventh game and then again in the ninth to finish things off.
Having reached the second round at Nottingham and won back to back matches in Birmingham and Eastbourne, Boulter will enter this second round match with a lot of confidence.
Pliskova v Boulter Prediction and Tip
Pliskova starts off with the edge but there does not seem to be much to choose from between the two. We could see the two play out three sets.
