Newly crowned World No. 2 Ons Jabeur is fighting her way to her first Grand Slam final on the back of what has been a fantastic season.
The Tunisian arrived in London with a tally of 30-9 and four WTA finals (titles in Madrid Open and WTA Berlin). Her preparations for the slam entailed wins over Karolina Muchova, Aliaksandra Sasnovich, Cori Gauff, and Belinda Bencic in the German grass event.
And in the preceding tournaments, Ons delivered some impressive wins over the likes of Daria Kasatkina, Maria Sakkari, Simona Halep, and Amanda Anisimova.
Here in London, Jabeur has continued in the same vein with straight-set wins over Mirjam Björklund and Katarzyna Kawa. The match with Kawa lasted for a little under an hour and saw the 27-year-old win 6-4, 6-0.
A quarterfinalist in last year’s Wimbledon, the number three seed looks well on track to maintain the same trajectory this time around too.

Parry with her Best Wimbledon Showing
World No. 77 Diane Parry, just 19 years old, has posted her best results at the SW19 by making it to the third round.
Both her wins have come without dropping a set, including the 6-4, 6-4 victory over the veteran Estonian Kaia Kanepi and the 6-3, 6-2 rout of Mai Hontama in the next match.
The French teenager enjoyed a decent prep, having made it to the semifinal in the Gaiba Challenger on grass.
That, however, was among the few highlights of her season. Parry’s other prominent run includes reaching the third round in the French Open after upsetting Barbora Krejcikova in the opener.
Apart from that, however, Diane has spent the entirety of the year succumbing in qualifying/opening matches on the WTA Tour.

This match has Jabeur written all over it. Expect another clinical performance from the Tunisian; it is hard to imagine Parry being the one who carves such a big upset – especially against an in-form opponent.
