Caroline Garcia v Marie Bouzkova Head to Head

Caroline Garcia, former world number four, has got a rare chance here to reach her first Grand Slam quarterfinal in over five years. Her last stint was in the 2017 French Open and that was as far as she could ever go in a major.
The last time she made it to the R16 on such a stage was in Paris itself in 2020.
The events of this week, however, have given Garcia a good opportunity to build some form, experience, and her prize money collection. Credit where it’s due, the current #55 did win the Bad Homburg Open last month beating Sabine Lisicki, Alize Cornet, and Bianca Andreescu. With that, Caroline moved up to 14-11 for the year before coming to London.
So far in the competition, she has defeated the likes of Yuriko Miyazaki (4-6, 6-1, 7-6), heavy favourite Emma Raducanu (6-3, 6-3), and the in-form Chinese veteran Shuai Zhang (7-6, 7-6).
Garcia has certainly been tested and the match against Bouzkova is likely to be similar.

Bouzkova Knocks Out Riske
Marie Bouzkova, age 23, has delivered the best Grand Slam results of her career.
The wins have come in style, starting with the upset of the heavy favourite, number seven seed Danielle Collins in three sets. She followed it with consecutive wins over Danielle’s compatriots – Ann Li (6-0, 6-3) and Alison Riske-Amritraj (6-2, 6-3).
Marie has had a decent year – her best results have come on the hard courts in Guadalajara (runner-up feat), Indian Wells (round three, qualifier) and Monterrey (quarterfinal). Her tally as of Saturday is 25-9 although, she could do with some titles.
Bouzkova, now ranking #66, was unlucky on the green courts when she fell to Shelby Rogers in the opener in Eastbourne International. Nonetheless, she has done well to turn it around.
Garica v Bouzkova Prediction and Tip
This match can go either way. Bouzkova is no stranger to beating top 10 players – she has some experience from her wins over Simona Halep, Petra Kvitova, and Barbora Krejcikova. She is well-skilled and has a chance to boost her confidence.
Garcia will need to be at her best and dig deep in her experience to prevail. Expect a tight affair that can see three sets.
