Jule Niemeier v Heather Watson Head to Head
It’s 1-0 to Watson, she won their sole meeting in the 2022 WTA Monterrey by 6-3, 2-6, 7-6(4).

Niemeier Scripts Personal History
Jule Niemeier, age 22, has just posted the best Grand Slam results of her career by reaching the R16 in London. It is a pity that there are no rankings points in play; otherwise, the young German would have made it her career-best ranking.
Nonetheless, this kind of experience is valuable and certainly primes her nicely for the second leg of the year.
She is now the World No. 97 with a tally of 28-13.
Her major highlights include an ITF and Challenger title in Zagreb and Makarska; the rest of her season has gone by in early exits.
Here at Wimbledon, Niemeier has played some remarkable tennis to upset Xinyu Wang, number two seed Anett Kontaveit, and the veteran Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko. These also mark the biggest wins of her career.

Watson, Carrying Hopes of a Nation
Heather Watson and Katie Boulter are the last remaining Brits in the women’s singles draw at Wimbledon 2022.
Watson’s chances of going further are slim but not entirely zero. Her campaign so far has seen her beat Tamara Korpatsch, Qiang Wang, and Kaja Juvan comfortably. Of course, the early exit of Belinda Bencic did clear her way in the bracket.
Up until now, the 30-year-old had never made it past the third round at SW19. Her tally for 2022 is 15-17 with the best result coming in Miami where she reached the round of 32. Watson was highly unimpressive in her last couple of events in Nottingham and Eastbourne where she fell in the opening rounds to Viktorija Golubic and Rebecca Marino respectively.
She is, however, a two-time mixed doubles finalist at Wimbledon and that experience may come in handy on Sunday.
Niemeier v Watson Prediction and Tip
Watson may have the support of the crowd but Niemeier has the energy, momentum, and prodigious form that can take her to the quarters. The German is our favourite in this match.
Tip: Niemeier to Win, Over 20.5 Games: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
