Novak Djokovic (1) vs Tim van Rijthoven
Last couple of weeks have been a true fairytale for Dutchman, Tim van Rijthoven. He received a wildcard to enter the main draw at S-Hertogenbosch.
Van Rijthoven made the best use out of it, dropping just two sets against seed no.2 Felix Auger-Aliassime and no.3 Taylor Fritz en route to the finals.
After the magnificent success, all that he had to do was defeat the no.1 seed – Daniil Medvedev, which he did, in straight sets. Wimbledon gave him another wildcard, to see if we can have another Emma Raducanu US Open fairytale, but this time at SW19.
After taking out Federico Delbonis, Reilly Opelka and Nikoloz Basilashvili and dropping just one set – he is set to face the biggest test, the three time defending champion Novak Djokovic.
Novak hasn’t played a preparation tournament for Wimbledon, after losing to Rafael Nadal at quarterfinals of Roland Garros.
Lack of matches on grass was noticeable when he dropped a set in round one to Soonwoo Kwon. He picked up his form and dismantled Thanasi Kokkinakis and Miomir Kecmanovic in straight sets.
Is the Serb going to extend his winning streak at Wimbledon to 25 or will the 100th birthday of Center court mark a beginning of a new era?

Ons Jabeur (3) v Elise Mertens (24)
Alongside Jelena Ostapenko (12th seed), Ons Jabeur and Elise Mertens represent the last of the seeds standing in the second half of the women’s draw.
Their only meeting prior to this one came last year in the third round of the US Open. The Belgian closed out the match in straight sets, progressing to the last 16.
Almost a year after their encounter, they meet again, but this time the tables have turned. Ons Jabeur is a higher ranked player, at no.2 and is a favorite not just in this match, but in this part of the draw.
She soared through her draw, without dropping a set.
On the other hand, Mertens had to fight two match points in round two, before delivering a straight sets upset of former champ Angelique Kerber in the third round.
Can Ons Jabeur continue her quest to become the first Tunisian to win a Grand slam’s singles title or is Mertens preparing another upset?

Carlos Alcaraz (5) v Jannik Sinner (10)
We’re in for a real treat, as Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are aiming for a first quarterfinal at Wimbledon and a potential match-up with Novak Djokovic.
They’ve played once before and the Spaniard edged the win in a tough straight sets match at Paris Masters. The setting is different, as both of them are making just their second Wimbledon main draw appearance.
Both of them started the tournament with some turbulences, but caught their ground in round three. Sinner took out John Isner in straight sets, while Alcaraz gave just six games to German, 32nd seeded Oscar Otte.
If you asked either one of them, they would switch to any other surface in a heartbeat, but as they are gaining experience on grass, who can prevail to reach their third quarterfinal at majors?
Honorable mentions
David Goffin v Frances Tiafoe – the Belgian won their meeting at Roland Garros, so is it Frances time to strike back? We’re in for a treat… and possibly a marathon.
