Paula Badosa (4) vs Simona Halep (16)
Both these women have faced some tough opponents in the first three rounds, but they are yet to drop a set.
Halep had it easier in the last two rounds, but in the opener she had to overcome two-time Wimbledon quarterfinalist Karolina Muchova.
On the other hand, Badosa had easier opening round matches, but faced a tough test against a two-time Wimbledon champion, Petra Kvitova. Now, if she wants to progress to her first Wimbledon quarterfinal, she has to pass another former champion in Simona Halep.
The two have faced two months ago on Badosa’s home soil in Madrid. Halep dismantled the home-crowd favorite, giving up just four games in round 2. The Romanian definitely has a more grass-fitted game, but Paula already proved that she is able to find her best game for grass-court specialists.
With the two of them being the highest ranked players in this half of the draw, this match can determine who is going to be the biggest favorite to play the finals on Sunday.

Rafael Nadal (2) v Botic Van De Zandschulp (21)
Rafael Nadal lost a set in both of his opening round matches, but gave his best performance in the third round against Lorenzo Sonego. As he is lifting his form, the opponents get tougher. Now, he is facing a tough opponent in the Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp.
The 21st seed also dropped two sets on his way to round four. Before coming to Wimbledon, he took part in three grass-court preparation events. He lost in Mallorca Open and at home-soil Libema Open in the first round.
In the middle of these two tournaments, he participated at Queens club, where he got all the way to the semifinals. He fell to eventual champion Matteo Berrettini in straight sets.
40 days ago, Rafa won his only meeting with his next opponent, but that was at his ‘’home’’ at Roland Garros. At the All-England club, it’s going to be a completely different story, as this is the surface that is more suitable for the 21st seed.
Is Rafa’s 10 match winning streak coming to an end or will he continue chasing the calendar Grand Slam?

Elena Rybakina (17) v Petra Martic
They’ve played once before, two years ago at Doha semifinals and it was a straight sets marathon won by Elena Rybakina. She edged out Martic in two tie-breaks and the Croat veteran is looking for revenge.
Both played the fourth round, but neither of them was able to breakthrough to the quarterfinals. Now, two powerhouses have to decide who is making a QF debut.
Rybakina didn’t have the best preparations, having won one match in two grass-court events that she played. Since coming to Wimbledon, she raised her game and rushed to the fourth round by taking out some big names – two time quarterfinalist Coco Vandeweghe, former US Open champion Bianca Andreescu and an in-form Qinwen Zheng, all in straight sets.
Martic had no wins in two preparation tournaments, but came to Wimbledon and she means business. She hasn’t dropped a set against seed no.30 Shelby Rogers, Kristina Kucova of Slovakia and the no.8 seed Jessica Pegula.
Both players have great grass-court game – incredible serves, powerful groundstrokes and great net play. Only one of them is going to book her quarterfinal ticket and we are in for a treat.
Honorable mentions
Ajla Tomljanovic v Alize Cornet – in the last round, Tomljanovic took out Barbora Krejcikova and Alize Cornet ended Iga Swiatek’s 37 win run. They played at last year’s Wimbledon and gave us quite a show. We expect nothing less this year.
