Pablo Carreno Busta returns to Bastad where has had some great results in the past, having reached the quarterfinal on two occasions in 2014 and 2018.
Last year the Spaniard was one of the most consistent players on the tour, finishing with a 38-18 record on all surfaces. In the current year, he hasn’t been able to achieve those heights, having a 18-15 record right now.
Carreno Busta had won the Hamburg Open last year. He will be defending his title the week after the Swedish Open and will use this event to ensure he goes into it in the best shape possible.
