Trevisan on Shaky Grounds
Martina Trevisan, seeded number two in the Hungarian Open Tennis Grand Prix, is looking for big wins and consistency at the moment.
Her tally is 20-13 – only because of her heroics on clay that also took the Italian to her peak singles ranking as World No. 27.
Trevisan is ranked just two places below although, that may change if she does not deliver soon. Her breakthroughs were short-lasting and by all means, the 28-year-old is yet to prove her mettle.
She won her maiden singles title in May in Rabat and followed it with a semifinal surprise run in the French Open – upsetting Daria Saville, Aliaksandra Sasnovich, and Leylah Fernandez en route.
After that, however, Martina lost in the Bad Homburg and Wimbledon openers. Her form on hard courts was not impressive either – with a round two Australian Open stint (as a qualifier) being the sole highlight of her concrete season.

Szabanin, Local Favourite
18-year-old Hungarian Natalia Szabanin made her WTA Tour main-draw debut in the Budapest Tennis Grand Prix only last season. She fell in the qualifiers to Tereza Mrdeza.
A year later, the teenager finds herself on similar turf again – this time in the first round.
Between then and now, Natalia has spent all of her time on the ITF circuit with no titles to show for it – at least until recently.
Szabanin, over the last couple of weeks, won the ITF Serbia 01A and ITF Netherlands 02A to win her maiden singles titles on the circuit. In the two tournaments, the youngster dropped just one set and has built a fair bit of momentum in her game. At the moment, Natalia is ranked World No. 700.
Trevisan v Szabanin Prediction and Tip
Trevisan is the odds-on favourite but Szabanin has momentum. If she starts strong, she can deal a blow to out-of-form Trevisan and capitalise on her lack of rhythm.
Expect an entertaining match – one where Natalia makes for a good underdog bet.
Tip: Over 20.5 Games: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
