Andrey Rublev v Laslo Djere Head to Head
While these two have never faced off at the highest level before this, they did meet twice on the Challenger circuit and the score is tied at one apiece. Both matches came on clay with their last meeting in 2016.

Rublev Struggles against Coria
It’s been bit of a roller-coaster ride for Rublev in recent times and that as on show when he took to court against Federico Coria for his second round match.
Having gotten himself a first round bye, Rublev scraped through a 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (2) victory over Coria in a match lasting two hours and 37 minutes. The Russian was broken five times in an encounter that began with both players registering two breaks of serves apiece in the first four games.
In turn, he dished out the same dose to Coria but that only meant Rublev needed to down his opponent in a final set tie-breaker to clinch the match.
Rublev had earlier lost in the first round at Halle and was a second round casualty in Rome but those two results had sandwiched a solid showing at the French Open where he reached the quarterfinal.

Djere Makes it Successive Wins
It had been a while since Djere won successive matches this season having last done it in Monte-Carlo in April. Which is why victories over Lorenzo Musetti and Marc-Andrea Huesler to reach the last eight should be as much a relief as it would be a confidence-booster.
Djere would be even more chuffed with the nature of those wins.
In the first round, he was a 6-3, 7-5 winner over Musetti and carried that form over to the second round when he carved Huesler out 7-5, 6-2 in an hour and 24 minutes to seal his quarterfinal berth.
Djere dropped his serve once in both the sets but that did not test him too much as he raced away to the win.
And while Rublev won’t be the easiest of opponents for obvious reasons, Djere’s performances would give his opponent some food for thought.
Rublev v Djere Prediction and Tip
Rublev took his time getting to the last eight stage but with the rustiness off him, he should still start off a favourite to clinch a win here. Might need a third set though.
Tip: Rublev to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
