Daria Kasatkina v Katerina Siniakova Head to Head
There have been four previous meetings between these two players and Kasatkina has won every single time. Two of them have come on clay including their last match in Rome in 2020.

While Kasatkina’s performances on the grass swing could be termed as modest for a player ranked 12th in the world – and she obviously missed Wimbledon alongside many of her Russian countrywomen – she returns to clay on the back of a solid season on this surface.
After having begun slowly on red dirt this year in Stuttgart where she was knocked out in the second round by Ons Jabeur, Kasatkina took a step further at Madrid where she made third round.
And very soon she had marched into the semifinal at Rome on the back of four successive victories.
It was at the French Open that Kasatakina finally showed her mettle. She won five consecutive rounds in straight sets to reach the semifinal where it took Iga Swiatek to put an end to her best ever run at a Grand Slam.
She will be confident going after her first trophy of the season here in Hamburg.
Siniakova Going Through a Bad Patch
Not only has Siniakova lost all four matches she’s played to Kasatkina, she is also going through a form crisis this season which has seen the former world number 31 fall to 93rd in the world.
Siniakova enters this tournament on the back of a second round appearance at Budapest, but even that had followed four successive defeats. Earlier she had made the second round in both, Madrid and Roland-Garros to possess a 3-3 record on clay this year.
Playing for the first time in Hamburg, Siniakova will hope to capture some of her spark from the three wins she has registered on clay this year – most notably against Petra Martic at the French Open where she was 2/1 odds to cause an upset.
