Barbora Krejcikova v Anastasia Potapova Head to Head

After knocking out lucky loser Suzan Lamens in straight sets in the opening round, World no. 19 Barbora Krejcikova moved into the quarterfinals with a straight sets drubbing of Poland’s Magdalena Frech in the second round on Tuesday.
The third seed Krejcikova was off to a slow start, losing the first three games of the match, but she soon found her range and didn’t drop another game in the match, winning 12 games in a row for a 6-3, 6-0 victory.
The Czech, who was broken once in the opening round, saved 7 of 8 break points against Frech and converted 6 of 13 to win in an hour and 20 minutes.
With the win, Krejcikova improved her season record to 13-8. The 26-year-old, who was out of action for almost three months due to an arm injury, will be aiming to reach a second semifinal of the season. She had reached the final of her season opener in Sydney, but hasn’t done much since then.

Potapova Stops Qualifier Carle
Anasatasia Potapova needed just an hour and 24 minutes to dispatch Argentine qualifier Maria Carle in the second round on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old Russian, who won her maiden WTA title in Istanbul earlier this year, will be hoping to reach a second consecutive semifinal on Thursday. Potapova had made it to the final four in Lausanne last week.
The World No. 63 began her Hamburg campaign with a 7-5, 6-3 win over fellow Russian Varvara Gracheva in the opening round.
She didn’t drop a set in the second round either, defeating Carle 6-1, 6-4. Potapova broke her opponent thrice to win the first set with ease. She however faced some stiff resistance from the Argentine in the second set. Carle went up a break twice in the second, but Potapova came back on both the occasions and eventually broke a third time to advance to a fourth quarterfinal of the season.
Krejcikova v Potapova Prediction and Tip
This is going to be a close contest, with a third set separating the two. Krejcikova will be expected to edge the Russian and reach the final four.
