Linda Noskova v Natalia Vikhlyantseva Head to Head

World No. 112 Linda Noskova is in terrific form at the moment and the 17-year-old Czech enters the Prague Open as the ITF Versmold champion.
She won the clay court event in Germany two weeks ago by defeating Ysaline Bonaventure in the final.
This was Noskova’s second title of the year, she had beaten Léolia Jeanjean in the final of the ITF Croissy-Beaubourg in France, a hard court event.
Noskova is a six-time ITF champion from seven finals. Five of those finals were hard court tournaments and she won four of them.
Noskova is 29-9 overall this season, and 12-4 on hard courts. The 2021 French Open girl’s champion had qualified for the main draw at Roland Garros this year, but lost the first round of her grand slam debut to Emma Raducanu.
She has been in excellent form recently, but hasn’t played on hard court for a while.

Vikhlyantseva Enters as Lucky Loser
Facing Noskova is Russia’s Natalia Vikhlyantseva, who will be featuring in the main draw as a lucky loser.
The former World no. 54 defeated Mariam Bolkvadze 6-4, 7-6 in the opening qualifying round, but she suffered a three-set defeat to the Czech Republic’s Dominika Salkova in the second qualifier.
Vikhlyantseva had won the first set, but Salkova turned the tables over the next two sets to win the contest 6-7, 7-5, 6-2. Despite the loss, Vikhlyantseva found a place in the main draw as alucky loser.
Currently ranked No. 265th in the world, this will be the 25-year-old’s first tour-level main draw appearance this year. This will be her fourth appearance in Prague, but a first since it has moved to hard courts. Vikhlyantseva was a quarterfinalist at Prague in 2018.
A finalist at the Rosmalen Open in 2017, Vikhlyantseva has won two ITF titles from six finals.This year she has been a bit off colour, particularly in recent times. Her best was a semifinal appearance on clay at the ITF Chiasso, where she had qualified for the main draw.
Noskova v Vikhlyantseva Prediction and Tip
Going by the current form of the two, Noskova holds the edge. Expect her to dump the former top 100 player and advance to the next round.
