Chloe Paquet v Oksana Selekhmeteva Head to Head
This will be their first meeting on the WTA Tour.

Selekhmeteva Upsets Cirstea
Oksana Selekhemeteva, ranked World No. 170 at the moment, has just carved an incredible upset in Prague by knocking out the fourth-seed Sorana Cirstea.
The 19-year-old Russian beat her 32-year-old Romanian counterpart 7-5, 6-4 to post one of the biggest wins of her WTA career. Oksana originally started in Prague as a qualifier and dispatched Nikola Bartunkova and Nao Hibino in three sets to reach the main draw.
With this, she has improved her season’s tally to 19-13.
Selekhemeteva’s best year results include an ITF singles title in Montpellier and three doubles finals on the same circuit. On the WTA side, her resume is unsurprisingly slim with a first-round appearance in the French Open highlighting her form there.

Paquet Faces an Uphill Task
Chloe Paquet is also off to a decent start in the tournament as she dismissed Tereza Martincova 2-6, 6-4, 6-3. Her year so far has been rather shaky, with her current tally now standing at 23-21.
With only one ITF final to her name in 2022, the 28-year-old Frenchwoman is seeking a dire turnaround in form – but it’s easier said than done.
She hasn’t been particularly successful on the WTA Tour as she lost most of the time in the opening rounds/qualifying fixtures. In fact, her win over Tereza marks her first WTA victory since the Guadalajara Open back in February – back then, she lost to Sloane Stephens in round two.
Chloe is the current #107 and although she has more than nine years on Selehkmeteva, an upset may occur.
Paquet v Selekhemeteva Prediction and Tip
Backing Selekhmeteva may not be the worst move, especially since the teenager looks rather sharp. Paquet is likely to be challenged and find herself in a long match, making us predict that this fixture may very well see a fair number of games.
