James Duckworth v Borna Gojo Head to Head
The duo has clashed once before this and that match came at the 2021 ATP Moscow. Duckworth won that first round encounter in three sets.

In what has been a reasonably solid run for Duckworth, the 59th-ranked player first made it to the quarterfinal of the Newport Open and followed it up with a second round appearance at Atlanta.
Duckworth first overcame Dominik Koepfer in the first round at Atlanta in a match that could have gone either ways. But in the second round against Alex de Minaur, Duckworth fell to a 6-4, 6-4 loss.
These three wins spread over these last two tournaments, unfortunately, have been Duckworth’s only main draw victories for the season.
And add a 40-60 career win-loss record on hard court surfaces, one is looking at a possibly difficult opening matchup for Duckworth despite the obvious difference in the ranking.

Gojo Eases into the Main Draw
This will only be Gojo’s second tournament of the season at which he will feature in the main draw. At the first which came at the French Open, Gojo won his opener before falling in fighting, four-setter to Filip Krajinovic.
Overall, in his career, Gojo has won just five main draw matches which includes four on hard court surfaces.
At the qualifiers here, Gojo, who has never been ranked better than 167th in the world, overcame Robert Galloway and Antoine Escoffier in straight sets. He will now hope to give Duckworth a run for his money and avenge their previous meeting result.
