Tseng Gets the Better of Chappell
Chun-Hsin Tseng recorded his fourth ATP Tour win of his career after defeating American qualifier Nick Chappell 6-4 6-4. A break on either side of the two sets was enough to get the job done and secure his berth in the second round.
The Taiwanese Next Gen star sits at a career-high ranking of No. 84 after a terrific season on the ATP Challenger Tour that saw him hoist titles in Bangalore and Murcia.
Tseng dominated the match against Chappell despite the close scoreline. He did not face a single break point on his serve throughout the match and averaged over 80% of points won behind both the first and second serves.
He will face the ultimate test on Wednesday when he takes on defending champion, Norrie. Will Tseng get back-to-back victories for the first time?

Tseng is a fine ball striker and a top talent since he burst onto the scene at the Wimbledon juniors tournament in 2018. But it is tough to see him go toe-to-toe against a high-flying Norrie in a best-of-three match. Expect the Briton to make light work of the Next Gen star.
