Iga Swiatek v Madison Keys Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these players and Swiatek has won both of them.
Their latest outing came at the 2022 Indian Wells Open in which Swiatek routed Keys 6-1, 6-0 to make it to the semifinal.

After an early loss in Toronto last week, Swiatek would have been relieved to start things off on a strong note here in Cincinnati.
In a match that lasted an hour and 41 minutes, Swiatek registered a 6-4, 7-5 win over Stephens, despite showing obvious struggles on her serve.
Swiatek took a 4-1 lead in the first set, and while she dropped her serve for the second time in the set, the Pole broke Stephens as her opponent served to stay in the set at 4.5.
An early exchange of serve breaks in the second set was followed by Swiatek going 5-2 up in the second set as well, but again, things went slightly south for her. She lost her serve in the ninth game before Stephens levelled things out at 5-5.
But an aggressive Swiatek broke Stephens as the latter served to stay in the match to complete the victory.

Keys Dispels Ostapenko
After having gotten past Yulia Putintseva in the first round at the Cincinnati Open, Keys registered a straight-set win over Jelena Ostapenko in the second to seal her meeting with the world number one.
Keys was on court for an hour and 36 minutes in her 6-4, 7-5 victory over her Latvian opponent despite losing her serve in both sets.
In the first, Keys was already up by a couple of breaks before Ostapenko managed to pull one back, while in the second, the Latvian player managed to stall her opponent when she served for the match at 5-4. Keys broke right back and this time around served the match out.
These two wins follow a period of drought for Keys which saw her win just two of her previous six matches.

Swiatek starts off a favourite but it’s not the same as it had been earlier this season for her. Keys could think of upsetting the apple-cart in at least one of the sets.
