Marin Cilic v Jaume Munar Head to Head

Other than that, it’s been the kind of season that Cilic would be reasonably happy with considering his complete loss of form in 2019 and 2020.
After a steady sort of a 2021 tennis season, Cilic has garnered 23 wins this year including a semifinal at the French Open on what his least favourite surface. Can he now pull off another good showing here in Cincinnati?

Munar Squeaks Through to Main Draw
Ranked 56th in the world, Munar needed to take the qualification route to get through to the main draw of the competition and it did not turn out to be an easy one.
First he needed a three-set win over Christopher O’Connell before overcoming the loss of the first set against Steve Johnson to clinch that second round qualifier and make the main draw.
Earlier this year, the otherwise clay-court specialist Munar had also made it through to the main draw of the Indian Wells Masters before stunning Pablo Carreno Busta on his way to round three.
