Bianca Andreescu v Caroline Garcia Head to Head
It’s 1-0 to Garcia; they last met in the 2022 Bad Homburg final, where she won in three sets.

Bianca Andreescu, now ranked World No. 48, is on a roll in New York as she works quickly on her opponents.
In the first round, she stormed past Ana Konjuh 6-0, 6-0 in a rare double bagel from the Canadian this season. Next, she took out the 15th seed Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-2, 6-4. However, Bianca wasn’t at her best, as she managed just 11 winners and had a 69% first-service win rate.
She ultimately got through on the back of Maia’s 30 unforced errors.
After missing out on a good few months of the 2022 season due to injury, Andreescu began her long road to glory in April, and by the looks of it, she has done well. She broke into the top 50 after starting as #121.
Her highlights include a quarterfinal result in Rome and a runner-up feat in Bad Homburg. The 22-year-old is now 16-9.

Business as Usual for Garcia
Number 17 seed Caroline Garcia reached the third round in New York after straight-set wins over lower-ranked stars like Kamilla Rakhimova and Anna Kalinskaya.
These wins have propelled the 28-year-old Frenchwoman to 37-15 – now armed with a title each from all three turfs in 2022.
She won the Bad Homburg Open, Poland Open, and most recently, the Cincinnati Open (as a qualifier). Garcia’s rise to prominence included wins over Maria Sakkari, Petra Martic, Elise Mertens, Jessica Pegula, Aryna Sabalenka, Petra Kvitova, and Iga Swiatek.
With her recent win streak, Caroline has also turned around her uneventful first half of the season where her best result was a sole semifinal run – in Lyon 250.
It is worth noting that Garcia has never reached the fourth round at Flushing Meadows.
Andreescu v Garcia Prediction and Tip
Garcia has the advantage here owing to her superb form and momentum, but Andreescu is more than capable of negating that. If Bianca can tap into her power in a more disciplined manner (not committing too many errors), then she has a real chance of winning this one.
