Caroline Garcia v Alison Riske Head to Head
This is an interesting one with Riske having defeated Garcia every single time they have faced off and in straight sets too.

She was on court for less than an hour and a half, overcoming a break of serve in each of the two sets to carve out a 6-2, 6-3 win over Andreescu.
This follows a title win in Cincinnati as a qualifier for Garcia and straight-set victories against Kamilla Rakhimova and Anna Kalinskaya in the previous two rounds.

Riske Scrappy But Comes Through Again
For the second match in a row, Riske went into her encounter as a solid favourite but was made to work really hard by her opponent before coming through.
Having needed three sets in her second round victory against Maria Osorio Serrano, Riske overcame Xiyu Wang 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 to enter the fourth round at the US Open for the first time since 2013.
Riske was on court for two hours and 15 minutes amidst a total of 11 breaks of serves in the encounter, including five in the final set. Four of those came in a row before Riske broke Wang as she served to stay in the encounter.
What Riske will now hope is she can exhibit a repeat showing of her previous three wins over Garcia but that was a different player – the Garcia of today is in impeccable form.
