Cameron Norrie v Andrey Rublev Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these two players and the scoreline currently is 1-1.
Rublev defeated his British opponent at the St. Petersburg Open in 2020 while Norrie pulled it back with a three-set win in San Diego last season. Both matches came on hard court surfaces.

Holger Rune is ranked 33rd in the world and could have been expected to give Norrie a run for his money. In the end, however, after a fighting start, Rune faded away into nothingness as Norrie carved out an easy straight-set win over the Danish player.
Norrie, who was on court for two hours and 13 minutes, won 7-5, 6-4, 6-1 to make it his third successive straight-set win.
With easy wins over Benoit Paire and Joao Sousa under his belt and having made it to the final at Los Cabos and the semifinal in Cincinnati, Norrie was a whopping 1/4 () favourite coming into the match. And when he took a 4-2 lead in the opening set, the writing seemed to be on the wall.
Except Rune refuse to wither away with a break back, before losing his serve yet again to concede the set. In the second, Norrie was two breaks up but again dropped one of his own before cruising through the rest of the match without dropping serve again.

Rublev Steals a Win after Dropping Match-Points
Rublev’s current form does not hold a candle to when he was at his best, but not much can be said against his fighting capabilities.
For him to get and fritter away three match-points on his serve and to then go on to win the encounter in the fifth set tie-breaker says a lot about that characteristic and it will be of great use come the fourth round match against Norrie.
In his third round match which lasted four hours and 11 minutes, Rublev squeaked past Denis Shapovalov 6-4, 2-6, 6-7 (3), 6-4, 7-6 (7) to make it to the round of 16 for the fourth time at the US Open.
Rublev had already faced a five-setter against Laslo Djere in his opener before routing Soon-woo Kwon in the second.
Against an in-form Norrie, things could get tougher and he starts off a 7/5 (with bet365) underdog to win it.
