Another Four-Set Win for Ivashka
After having shocked Hubert Hurkacz in the second round, Ivashka was on court for his third round match against Lorenzo Musetti and this time around he started off as a 1/2 favourite (with bet365).
And for the third match in a row, Ivashka registered a four-set win to march into the fourth round of US Open for the first time in his career. Before this, Ivashka had made it past the third round at a Grand Slam just once in his career and that was at the 2021 Wimbledon.
Here he registered a 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 win over Musetti in two hours and 43 minutes, in an encounter where he broke his opponent’s serve seven times. What was shocking about that stat is Ivashka got seven break-points to do so!
