Cori Gauff v Caroline Garcia Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these two players and Gauff has won them both in hard court competitions.
The first came at the 2021 Indian Wells Masters while more recently the two met at the WTA Doha this season and Gauff ran away to a straight-set victory.

Such has been Gauff’s form all tournament that it did not seem like too big a surprise when she carved out another straight-set win in her fourth round match against Shuai Zhang.
We had expected Zhang to put up a fight and that’s exactly what she did in their meeting but Gauff proved to be too wily for her opponent as she won 7-5, 7-5. The match lasted nearly two hours and saw Gauff come away with crucial breaks of serves in the 11th games of both sets.
Earlier, Gauff had crushed fellow American Madison Keys in the third round, also in straight sets after routing Leolia Jeanjean and Elena Ruse.
Now comes Gauff’s toughest challenge because she faces a player in some dramatically stunning form – so much so that the American starts off a second favourite with bet365 offering 11/10 for her win.

Garcia Juggernaut Refuses to Settle
It’s been five matches since Garcia lost a set.
Nearly a month since she lost a match.
And it’s been over two months she lost one in straight sets.
In fact since that two-set defeat to Marie Bouzkova at Wimbledon, Garcia has now won 19 of her 21 matches (including a couple of qualifiers) and is on a 11-set winning streak.

Hitting 30 winners in the encounter to her opponent’s seven, Garcia was never in any danger and she takes the confidence of a 10-match winning streak into this encounter against Gauff.
