Magda Linette v Katie Swan Head to Head
This will be a first meeting between the two.

Linette Battles Past Marino
Third seed Magda Linette is the only seed remaining in the tournament and is also the only player left in the draw who is yet to drop a set this week.
The Polish player, however, faced her toughest opponent in the quarterfinal on Friday with the seventh seed Rebecca Marino running her close.
Twice Marino came back from a break down in the first set and then they both were engaged in an exhausting tiebreak. Marino missed two set point opportunities, while Linette converted her fourth set point to take the first set in an hour and 15 minutes.
In the second, the World No. 67 built a sizeable 5-1 lead, but the Canadian wasn’t going down without a fight. She broke to stay alive and then saved a match point on her serve to make it 3-5.
Linette regrouped and held serve to love to claim the contest 7-6 (12-10), 6-3.
Linette had beaten Moyuka Uchijima 6-4, 6-0 in the opening round and Oksana Selekhmeteva 6-2, 6-0 in the second round.
A win on Saturday will put her in the final for the first time since she won the Hua Hin Championships in 2020. She has two tour-level title from four finals.

Swan Sees Off Hibino
In a match that ended at 2.50 a.m. local time on Saturday, Katie Swan ousted Nao Hibino to book a place in a first ever Tour semifinal.
Swan, who won the ITF Lexington title in August, is undefeated in the last eight matches that she has played in.
The Briton, ranked No. 174, converted 5 of 13 break points and saved 3 of 7 during her 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 win in two hours and 14 minutes.
The 23-year-old who has an 11-0 record in finals at the ITF level, is now a win away from her first final at the tour-level. Interestingly all of those 11 finals have come on hard courts for Swan.
She had a good start to her Chennai Open campaign, as she trounced Arianne Hartono 6-1, 6-2 in the opener and then dumped out Anastasia Gasanova with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 victory. Swan had a 1-2 season record on the Tour before the start of the WTA 250 event in India. She has improved that to 4-2 and will be hoping to improve it further. Can she take down the third seed?
Linette v Swan Prediction and Tip
Linette is an experienced player and has displayed excellent form this week. Swan is also in good touch, but it will be interesting to see if the 3 am finish to her quarterfinal match may impact her game in the semifinal on Saturday evening.
Linette is the favourite and is expected to reach the final.
