Tomas Martin Etcheverry v Facundo Mena Head to Head
While these two have never faced off in a competitive match at the highest level, there have been three encounters on the Challengers and Futures circuit.
Mena leads 2-1 having defeated Etcheverry as recently as in Pereira earlier this year. All these matches came on clay.

Etcheverry Yet to Win Outside of Clay
He has been around at the highest level for over a year but Etcheverry is yet to win too many matches on the ATP circuit. Outside of clay, incidentally, Etcheverry hasn’t played a lot either and has lost them all.
The Argentine will hope he can translate some of his form on clay to usurp an opponent who is himself not the best on hard court surfaces.
Known more for his exploits on the Challenger circuit, Etcheverry has made it through to three finals already this season, and won one title. There have also been four other semifinal appearances to go with that but all of them on clay.
This will be a good chance to turn things around for Etcheverry.

Mena Comes Through the Qualifiers
Like Etcheverry, Mena’s record on hard court surfaces isn’t the brightest at any level. What’s most surprising is that Mena has never played at the highest level before this despite his 29 years of age and the record at the lower levels.
The Argentine, now ranked at his career-best of 127th in the world, has won seven Futures and four Challenger titles other than reaching the final at these events five other times. He also has 15 doubles titles to go with that.
And yet, Mena will be making his ATP main draw debut here.
The good news for him is there is every chance of him putting up a fight against some one who hasn’t won any hard court matches in ATP 250 and above tournaments.
Etcheverry v Mena Prediction and Tip
This looks like a match between equals, with Etcheverry holding a slight edge. Expect him to come through in three sets.
Tip: Etcheverry to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
