Murray/Berrettini v Auger-Aliassime/Sock Head to Head
These two teams haven’t faced off before in a competitive doubles match.

While Murray did not make a great start to the Laver Cup, falling to Alex de Minaur on day one of the competition, Berrettini has had a couple of solid performances go his way.
In his opening match against Felix Auger-Aliassime, Berrettini needed a third set match tie-breaker to squeak through and earn a couple of points for Team Europe. Later on the second day, the Italian player combined with Novak Djokovic to defeat Alex de Minaur and Jack Sock in the final match.
Berrettini and Djokovic won that in straight sets to help Europe forge forward and end the day ahead 8-4.
Murray comes into the encounter on the back of successive doubles defeats last week in the Davis Cup too. He fought hard with Joe Salisbury but failed to defeat either the Dutch pair or the American one. Incidentally, Jack Sock, one of his opponents here, was a part of that team too.

Auger-Aliassime & Sock Know They Cannot Afford to Lose
While a defeat here wouldn’t be the end of the road for Team World, they would know the task would get that much more difficult given what’s to follow.
When you have the likes of Djokovic, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Casper Ruud still to play, it makes it very easy for Team Europe to then pinch a win from one of those encounters and lift the trophy.
The good news is Sock continues to feature for them in the doubles and this time he will be joined by a more solid Auger-Aliassime. And we all know Sock’s record in doubles play, at the Laver Cup or otherwise, has been second to none among those in action in this tournament.
At the same time, however, the not so good news is Sock and de Minaur were pummelled by the Djokovic-Berrettini pair last evening and one wonders if it would have left any mental scars on the American’s game.
A crucial doubles match this, with Sock and Auger-Aliassime holding a slight edge.
Murray/Berrettini v Auger-Aliassime/Sock Prediction and Tip
This could go either way with Auger-Aliassime/Sock starting out very small favourites for us. Expect a three-setter.
