Arthur Rinderknech v Roman Safiullin Head to Head

They played once before and Safiullin won that match.

Great Wins for Rinderknech

The French big-serving player was looking forward to the indoor season because his weapons are perfectly suited for this type of tennis. He’s certainly proving it this week with some amazing wins that should earn him some much-needed points.

He’s had a very good season so far with 31 wins and 20 losses with the majority of those wins coming on hard courts. He’s 4-1 indoors this year with some solid wins in Metz and now Tel Aviv. He’d like the court to be even quicker but even at this slower speed, it’s still good enough for him to make it hard for players.

Diego Schwartzman certainly had issues against him and the Argentine continued his poor season with another loss. He lost the last time he played this player so there should be no shortage of motivation for him and a semi-final is on the line as well.

Safiullin In Good Form

Roman Safiullin did not play for a while before finally committing to play some tennis in Tel Aviv. His last match before the matches this week came in New York at the US Open where he lost to Cobolli in the qualifiers. Before that he won a challenger event in Chicago and now in Tel Aviv, he’s back to winning.

A rare chance to book an ATP semi-final is on the line and it comes against a player he already defeated once this year. Both of his matches this week every against solid opposition but Rinderkench is certainly the best player out of all those.

He’s also the best indoor player but so is Safiullin. The Russian is 11-6 indoors this year and 58-38 in his career. He is 34-15 this year so he can play good tennis. His main weapon is his serve and likes to attack so there is a chance that he can commit a lot of errors.

Rinderknech v Safiullin Prediction and Tip

They are very similar players with a good serve and solid stuff besides that. A lot will come down to simply who has a better day as they are very similar.

Safiullin won their most recent match and has had the better year so maybe backing him is a good idea. I’d pick the over as a far safer option as I do think it’s going to three sets.

Tip: Over 21.5 games in the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
