Belinda Bencic v Barbora Krejcikova
A very interesting match awaits us in Tallinn with Bencic taking on Krejcikova. The Swiss player has had a very good season so far with an impressive 36-16 record. Krejcikova clearly did not have as good of a year but the Czech player was injured for a large part of it.
She’s rather consistent and similar to Bencic is a very good indoor player. Bencic is far more streaky so when she gets in a zone she is more dangerous than Krejcikvoa and both of them have performed really well this year. The key might lie in their H2H which favours Bencic as she won both matches they played.
One of those matches was played last year at the Olympics and Bencic won that match and the event in the end. It’s hard to say who has more talent, as Bencic has more natural talent but Krejcikova is a major champion. It’s a tough one but considering the H2H and the season overall, we’ll back Bencic to win the match.
Tip: Bencic to win: 7/9 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Maria Sakkari v Danka Kovinic
Maria Sakkari was supposed to play Danka Kovinic on Friday but the match was pushed back to Saturday as it rained all day in Parma. A chillier day is expected tomorrow and that will affect both the players and conditions. The day off favours Sakkari much more than Kovinic for a couple of reasons.
The Montenegrin player is very streaky. When she’s in form she is hard to beat, especially on clay but this will disrupt her good rhythm. Sakkari is far more capable of ramping up quickly and after winning a couple of matches in three sets, she gladly took the day off.
The Greek player has not had a very good year so far even after the superb start to the season. She’s clearly battling confidence issues and this day off will give her time to refocus on in the right way. Still, her play this week has been far from her best and on her day, Kovinic might win.
There is plenty of value to try.
Tip: Kovinic to win: 2/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Novak Djokovic v Roman Safiullin
Novak Djokovic will face a player he never played before in Safiullin but it won’t be an easy match. The Russian won’t be scared of this match and that’s the big danger for Djokovic. His opponent is quite streaky and he has his best tennis this week so that makes him dangerous.
Good serves will trouble Djokovic all day and Safiullin can attack him with plenty of different weapons. Pospisil provided a blueprint on how to play Djokovic and the Rusisan will try. Still, it’s Novak Djokovic, one of the best returners of all time and he will make ti tough on the Russian.
I still think that we will see a close match because these underdogs are most dangerous when they have nothing the lose. A chance for a final will give the Russian some motivation and I think he can push the games over. Djokovic picked his spots against the Canadian as well so he might do that again.
It’s pretty good value so it’s worth trying.
