Cristian Looking for Wins in Injury-Marred Season
World no. 68 Jaqueline Cristian hasn’t played much this year. She had suffered a bad knee injury in Doha which kept her out of the tour.
She made a return at the U.S. Open but lost in the opening round. She however went on to win the an ITF event in Le Neubourg, but suffered another first round defeat in Tallinn.
Christian has not won consecutive main draw matches on the tour this year. The Romanian has an overall record of 10-9 and all her matches have been played on hard courts.
The 24-year-old, who reached her maiden final in Linz last year, has played 15 ITF finals, winning 10 of them.

Cristian has found it difficult on the tour since her return from injury. Mertens will hold the edge. Expect the Belgian to edge through.
