Novak Djokovic v Stefanos Tsitsipas
Novak Djokovic will face Stefanos Tsitsipas in another final as they played in the Rome Masters final earlier this year. It was a match that Djokovic won rather comfortably and I do expect something similar here. There is just too much that Djokovic can exploit in this matchup.
The Serbian can keep up with Tsitsipas and he can negate his service like not many can. He can also attack his backhand which is a clear weak spot for him and he can also force him away from the forehand. They have played 10 times so far and Djokovic won 7 of those matches including the last five.
Tistsipas did give him trouble several times but every time Djokovic has found a way to win, especially on hard courts. The Serbian is playing at a very high level at the moment so that only contributes to my confidence that he will get the job done.
Tip: Djokovic to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Taylor Fritz v Frances Tiafoe
Another interesting final awaits us in Tokyo as Tiafoe plays Fritz. It’s a fascinating matchup between two players that are very streaky and capable of producing at an amazing level. Fritz has dominated this matchup in past years leading 4-1 but this Tiafoe is a different one.
A major shift occurred at the US Open and since then the American is just on a spectacular run that is very hard to counter. Both have looked good all week in Tokyo but both had moments where inconsistency showed up again. Their most recent clash was in Montreal and Fritz won in three sets.
I do think we see three sets again because it just seems fitting for a final between players who know each other really well. Fritz is the better player generally speaking so I do think him being favoured in the right call and I do think he will be able to get it done.
Tip: Fritz to win: 3/4 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Iga Swiatek v Barbora Krejcikova
Another interesting matchup awaits us in Ostrava and Iga Swiatek takes on Barbora Krejcikova. It’s really good to see Krejcikova back to playing amazing tennis and she is really playing strong tennis right now. Her winning streak is at 9 matches at the moment but getting that win number 10 will be very hard.
Swiatek is a hard opponent and she won both matches they played in the past. I do expect the Polish player to get this one as well because the fatigue should catch up to Krejcikova. It’s been two long weeks, and a very dramatic win over Rybakina as well.
Swiatek spent over two hours on the court as well but she played far less tennis recently. She is also been superb in finals this year and I don’t think she will mess this up. Kkrejcikvoa will battle and probably keep it close but Swiatek should win in two.
Tip: Swiatek to win in straight sets: 1/2 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
