First Individual Match for Paul Since US Open
Time is running out this year for Paul to add to the senior title he won at the end of last season at the Stockholm Open, the first of his senior career.
There have been suggestions that might be capable of repeating that feat – he reached the fourth round of Wimbledon, and was a quarter-finalist in Montreal and in several grass court tournaments – but has not managed to get to the last stages of a competition.
His last individual tournament was the US Open, where he got to the third round before losing a five setter to the eventual finalist, Casper Ruud.
Since then, he has played Davis Cup tennis for his country, winning two out of the three ties he played.

Teeenager Landaluce Makes ATP Debut
At just 16 years old, Landaluce is making his senior debut as a wildcard, which is why he does not have an ATP ranking yet.
However, he has already had a great year, reaching the semi-finals of the boys’ singles at Wimbledon and then, doing even better at the US Open in New York, winning the tournament.
Having trained at the Rafael Nadal tennis academy, Spain will be hoping that he will be the next future champion off the production line, following in the footsteps of Nadal himself and, more recently, Carlos Alcaraz.
Pauk v Landaluce Prediction and Tip
Whilst this will be a great experience for the Spanish teenager and one which may stand him in great stead for the future, Paul represents a step-up in class from the opponents who he usually plays, and it is hard to envisage anything other than an American win.
Tip: Paul to win in straight sets: 3/10 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
