Andrey Rublev v Sebastian Korda
The two best players in Gijon in the past week will go head-to-head in the final as Rublev takes on Korda. This will be the second time they played as Rublev proved better last year in Miami. It was a very close and competitive match but I don’t really expect the same here.
I do think that it will be an interesting match but I’m having trouble imagining Korda giving too much trouble to Rublev. The Russian has been playing excellent tennis for two weeks now and he seems very comfortable in Gijon. He’s also far more stable as Korda had moments of doubts this week like the 1-6 set against Andy Murray.
The Russian also has a better serve and far more raw power at this stage of their careers so anything but a straight-set victory for Rublev would surprise me.
Take Rublev in two.
Tip: Rublev to win in straight sets: 11/10 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Felix Auger-Aliassime v J.J. Wolf
Another interesting final will happen in Florence but I do think it’s going to be similar. Once again we have one player that is far superior to his opponent and there is really not much that could sway you from Auger-Aliassime in this one.
He’s been the best player by a mile in Florence and he is serving at an incredible level and while his opponent is certainly playing well there is just a lack of experience that will impact him. Nobody knows that better than Auger-Aliassime who had his own woes in finals before but he has been rather solid this year.
He is favoured to win and he will win in straight sets so that’s what you should back. I just don’t see him screwing this up, even against the solid American. He’s 43-25 on the year and 11-3 indoors this year.
Tip: Auger-Aliassime in straight sets: 1/2 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Jasmine Paolini v Anna Blinkova
The by far most competitive final tomorrow will be played in Cluj-Napoca where we have two players playing against each other for the 5th time. They played four times so far and both have two wins. One of those was played this year and Paolini won 6-0 6-3 and that was quite a beatdown.
Blinkova has been excellent all week but so has Paolini and I generally do think the Italian is the better hard-court player. After all, she has a trophy on the surface while Blinkova does not. Indoors is a bit more different as the Russian has a better record on that variant of hard courts but Paolini is still favoured.
She is favoured because she is the higher-ranked player at the moment but Blinkova will certainly improve will time and we will see more of this from here. It’s hard to say who will win this one as there is arguments for both but let’s keep it a competitive one and back the over on games.
