Bianca Andreescu v Jil Teichmann
A very fabulous round one awaits in Guadalajara as Andreescu takes on Teichmann in a match that should really be a win for Andreescu. They played twice so far in the past with each winning a match but the last one they played was three years ago.
Much has changed since then and Teichmann has become a much better player overall although she has not played that well recently. They were both in San Diego and Andreescu played far better tennis it was a continuation of good play for her as she tries to bring up her career.
The best thing about Andreescu is her fighting spirit as she rarely loses matches without putting up a fight. It’s the best thing she can do against Teichmann as she has been misfiring a lot lately. She always plays the same and far too often she plays herself out of a match and I could see that happening again.
Tip: Andreescu to Win: 4/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Karolina Pliskova v Elena Rybakina
Another interesting match in Guadalajara will be played between two heavy hitters on Rybakina and Pliskova. Both of them hit the ball hard, it’s going to be a lot of that in this one. Rybakina is far more consistent with everything she does although I would argue that Pliskova has more talent overall.
When she is playing it’s really hard to defeat her. It’s been months without that so Rybakina will be in a good position to win this one although her level has been largely up and down as well. Their only match came two years ago in Dubai with Rybakina winning in two sets.
I could see the same thing happening again but the better value would be the over. Both of them can serve well and this should be a very competitive one. Matches like this oftentimes go to three sets and I could certainly see the same here.
Tip: Over 20.5 Games: 11/7 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Belinda Bencic v Leylah Fernandez
By far the most interesting match of the day will be between Bencic and Fernandez. Both are tremendous tennis players and superb to watch on their day however lately it’s been better by Bencic. She has had the better season overall than Fernandez but Leylah missed a lot with an injury as well.
Bencic is a more measured tennis player as Fernandez likes to attack and her forehand is one of the best in the game when it’s on. I don’t think it will be as sharp as it needs to be here because she just lacks matches. Funnily enough, she leads Bencic 2-0 in their H2H and she actually defeated Bencic this year.
It happened at the 2022 French Open and it was a close match in three sets. That was the best tennis Fernandez played all year long and it was literally days before her injury. Since then it’s just never been the same and I think Bencic will use that to her advantage.
Tip: Bencic to win: 3/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
