They played twice and both won one match.

Coric Kicks Off Indoor Season

Borna Coric has had what many would call a season with a lot of struggles. Ever since coming back from shoulder surgery Coric largely struggled with his tennis only to hit superb tennis form in late summer. His run in Cincinnati surprised many but he was quite unplayable that week ending up with the trophy.

He’s been looking fairly good since then as well with a solid outing in Tokyo albeit nowhere near as strong as his Cincinnati run. That was his last event before Vienna and this will his first singles event indoors since last year. He did play indoors recently in the Davis Cup.

He did rather well winning two matches against solid opponents and pushing Berrettini to three sets.

I do think he’ll come out pretty strong here after getting some rest and he’s done well in Vienna in the past having one quarterfinal in 2018.

First Match Since US Open for Krajinovic

Filip Krajinvoic did not play since the US Open as the Serbian took time off to recover and properly prepare for this final stretch of the year. It’s generally been a great part of his season as his best-ever tennis result came in Paris when he played in the final a few years ago.

Krajinvoic has had a rather disappointing season because he simply can’t tap into all of his potential to play some good tennis. It’s been okay with a 20-17 record but this is a player who should be winning 30 matches a year at least with a chance to win 40 matches.

He simply can’t figure things out and I don’t think he’ll be able to get it sorted in his first event back either.

Indoors have been rather good to him and he handles these conditions well but I don’t think he’s playing at the level of Coric right now and that’s a problem.

Coric v Krajinovic Prediction and Tip

I do think we could see an interesting match here but I don’t know whether Krajinovic can keep up with Coric. I’ll take the Croatian in two.

Tip: Coric to win in straight sets: 1/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
