Andy Murray v Gilles Simon Head to Head

Murray Hoping For More Wins
Andy Murray has looked pretty decent in recent weeks yet the British player only has one quarter-final and it came in Gijon. The Brit is playing at an okay level but he can’t outplay some of the better players on Tour which continues to be a problem for him.
Simon certainly is not among those players so this is a very winnable match that could earn him some more points which is the goal. He plans to improve his position before the Australian Open in order to get an easier draw and a quarter-final could help with that.
His season overall has been rather solid with a 29-19 record and 4-4 indoors. He demolished Simon over the years so this would serve nicely as a confidence builder because he is both younger and the better player. The odds favour him as well.

Simon’s Last Dance
Gilles Simon is not playing that although he did score some wins. They came on the challenger Tour but this is a player that is retiring sooner rather than later and this might his last dance in Paris. Simon’s playstyle always needed a lot of energy because he is a defensive player who relies on players committing errors.
He can’t do that really well at this age and he never found another way of playing effectively. His experience can win him some more matches against player that are not familiar with his style of play but for the most part, Murray knows it well.
Murray only lost twice to Simon in 18 matches so there is very little that Simon can do and Murray won’t expect. The French player will battle hard but he is going to get tired easier than Murray so a long match doesn’t suit him either. It’s a very tough spot for him even if he’s on home where he generally does play his best tennis.
Murray v Simon Prediction and Tip
This is a matchup that Murray dominated over the years so there is really no point in thinking that he can’t do the same again.
Tip: Murray to win in straight sets: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
