Auger-Aliassime v Holger Rune
Last week’s Swiss Indoors final saw Auger-Aliassime defeat Holger Rune to lift the trophy but the Danish player will get a chance for revenge one week later. The Paris Masters semi-final will see them play again with both of them putting forward superb performances.
It’s not far-fetched to say that they are playing the best tennis at the moment and that’s been the case for Auger-Aliassime particularly. He’s won 16 matches in a row but sooner or later he will run out of energy. This is the 4th week in a row that he’s playing and so far he’s still going on.
Rune has been excellent this week as well as he is serving really well and not allowing much on his serve. It will be a great chance for Rune to take the match because I think he will be quite a bit more motivated but can he break Auger-Aliassime’s magical run?
It might not be that easy.
Tip: Auger-Aliassime to win the match: 8/11 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Daria Kasatkina v Caroline Garcia
This is a match that is quite important for both players as it gives them the chance to make the semi-final. It’s a great chance for Kasatkina especially because she was considered the weakest link by many in this event. Both Kasatkina and Garcia won a match against Gauff but lost to Swiatek.
The winner will move on to the next round and both have been playing decent tennis so far. Garcia has been better at this event and both overall which is why she is favoured to win it here. The H2H sits at 1-1 with the most recent one, last year, won by Kasatkina in three sets.
I do expect a competitive match overall but I’m not sure the score will tell that story. I do think Garcia will prove to be better at the moment because she is returning really well and standing deep in the court which could give Kasatkina some trouble.
Tip: Garcia to win the match: 4/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Iga Swiatek v Coco Gauff
Iga Swiatek will play in the WTA semi-finals it just remains to be seen whether she makes it there undefeated. There is a great incentive to do so because there is a bonus to be won if a player wins the event without dropping a match. She has certainly dominated Gauff this year and the American has played rather badly here as well.
Gauff can’t make it to the next round as she’s been eliminated with two losses already. Gauff has looked very bad so far at the event spraying errors in both matches, sometimes so much that even fans started to question what was going on.
She will have a very tough time in this match and I do expect Swiatek to get it done in straight sets as she has so far. There is just too much separation in the levels at which these two players are playing at the moment.
Tip: Swiatek to win in straight: 4/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
