Djokovic’s Streak Continues
Defending champion Novak Djokovic edged past Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinal of the Paris Masters to extend his current win streak to 13 matches. Saturday’s victory was Djokovic’s eighth consecutive victory over the Greek, improving him to 9-2 in the head-to-head rivalry.
The Serbian’s Paris record improved to 45-8. He is a six-time champion at the ATP 1000 tournament and it is the fourth consecutive time that he will be featuring in the final. He lost to Karen Khachanov in 2018, but won the titles in 2019 and 2021. The four wins in 2022 have extended his Paris streak to 13 matches as well.
In the two-hour-and-20-minute contest, Djokovic dominated the first set with two breaks of serve. Tsitsipas turned the tables in the second set, breaking the Serb twice to tie the match at one-set apiece. In the final set, Djokovic missed out on two break points in the third game and then failed to capitalise on two break points in the ninth as the match headed towards a deciding set tiebreak.
Tsitsipas was the first to get a mini-break in the tiebreak, to go up 3-4. But Djokovic rebounded to win four points in a row and clinch the match 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (7-4).
Djokovic, who won his last two tournaments in Tel Aviv and Astana, began his Paris Masters campaign with three straight set wins over Maxime Cressy in the second round, Karen Khachanov in the third and Lorenzo Musetti in the quarterfinal.
Playing in the 129th final of his career, Djokovic will aim to win his 91st career title on Sunday. This is also his sixth final of the season, where he is chasing his fifth title.

Rune Ends Auger-Aliassime’s Streak
World no. 18 Holger Rune ended Felix Auger-Aliassime’s streak at 16 matches as the Dane ousted the Canadian on Saturday to reach a fourth consecutive ATP final.
Rune, who won his maiden title in Munich this year, had reached consecutive finals in Sofia, Stockholm and Basel last month. He won the title in Stockholm, while finishing runner-up in the other two. The defeat in Basel came against Auger-Aliassime last week, but he got a quick revenge over the Canadian, winning the semifinal in an hour and 30 minutes.
Rune did not face a break point in the match, while he broke the world no. 8 once in the first set and twice in the second to complete a 6-4, 6-2 victory.
The 19-year-old’s road to the final included a come-from-behind win over Stan Wawrinka in the first round, followed by straight sets wins over 10th seed Hubert Hurkacz in the second round and seventh seed Andrey Rublev in the last 16. He was leading the top seed Carlos Alcaraz in the quarterfinal, when the Spaniard was forced to retire with an injury.
Rune is 18-2 in the last 20 matches. Can he end the stunning season with a third title?
Djokovic v Rune Prediction and Tip
Djokovic rules in Paris. He is on top of his game right now, but will be tested by the in-form Rune, who has dominated some top opponents over the last one month. It may go the distance but the Serb should win his seveth title in the Paris Masters.
Tip: Djokovic to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
