Novak Djokovic v Holger Rune
Novak Djokovic will have a chance to create even more Paris Masters history as he goes for his 7th trophy overall. He played 7 finals so far winning six of them and losing one to Khachanov. The challenger is an up-and-coming player that has been on an amazing run in the last couple of weeks.
Holger Rune might just be playing the best tennis in the world right now. He’s serving really well, attacking well with a high dose of aggressiveness. Auger-Aliassime admitted after losing to him that he doesn’t remember a player hitting that hard and that deep into the court.
Rune has played Djokovic once before but lost that match in four sets. It demonstrated that Rune can stay with Djokovic if he’s playing good tennis and that has been the case this year as well. Despite that, it’s Djokovic’s match to lose. He’s been far too good in Paris before not to find a solution. Close but Djokovic to win in three.
Tip: Djokovic to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Caroline Garcia v Maria Sakkari
A place in the WTA Finals final is up for grabs as undefeated Maria Sakkari takes on Caroline Garcia. This is a very fascinating matchup on paper because they both play so well when they are aggressive. Sakkari upped her intensity for this event dramatically and it worked for her as she won three matches.
The French player barely battled past Kasatkina in three sets and she will have to play one day later against Sakkari who had one more day to rest albeit not to prepare as she didn’t know who her opponent was going to be. It’s going to be a good match, probably one similar to their clash in Cincinnati when Garcia won in three sets.
Even so, I do think that Sakkari has played better so far and should be considered the favourite. She will also be more rested which could prove key if the match was to go long and it might. The one reason why I won’t back Sakkari is her well-documented trouble in big matches. Take the over to be on the safer side.
Tip: Over 20.5 Games: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Iga Swiatek v Aryna Sabalenka
Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka delivered a hugely impressive match at the US Open recently and tennis fans will be hoping for another one here. The stage is similar, that was a semi-final and this one is as well. Swiatek is once again playing really well while Sabalenak was able to find some good tennis here.
It’s a match that Swiatek should be able to win. She’s been very impressive this week as she’s been all week long and while Sabalenka has ways to hurt her, she should find a way to battle past that. She did that in New York coming back from losing a set to winning a match.
I do think that Sabalenka will keep it close, perhaps for a tiebreak but a lot will depend on her serve. There is a universe where Swiatek just stomps her easily in two sets but I don’t think it’s ours. I think this goes over the games with Iga winning in the end.
Tip: Swiatek to Win, Over 20.5 Games: 11/7 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
