Casper Ruud v Andrey Rublev Head to Head
They played five times so far and Rublev leads 4-1.

Ruud Fails To Go 3-0
Casper Ruud had the chance to go 3-0 at the ATP Finals in the round-robin stage but he failed to do so as Nadal proved too strong. It was an amazing performance by Nadal and not a good one from Ruud but he didn’t really try that hard either.
He’ll try far more here as he had one day of rest before taking this one and it’s a day he needed for preparation because it’s not been pretty against Ruble in the past. They played fives so far and Rublev leads 4-1 but the only match Ruud won came last year in Turin.
It was a close 3-set match and I think we’re starting a similar one here as well but Ruud faces a tougher Rublev this time around. The Norwegian doesn’t do as well on fast courts as Rublev but he has been surprisingly good this time around.

Rublev Comes Back to Beat Tsitsipas
Rublev was not favoured to win against Tsitsipas and after the first set, we saw why. He was all over the place and despite serving well he was unable to create much pressure. Things changed dramatically in the next two sets as h was amazing from the baseline using his power to take over the match.
It’s a tactic that should suit him well against Ruud because the Norwegian can struggle with power. Alcaraz showed it in New York and Rublev showed it last year here. 6-2 with the forehand reigning supreme until it wasn’t and Ruud won the match.
Rublev will need to serve well and keep hitting the ball well. I see no reason why he can’t do that and while I do think he’s closer to victory despite being the ‘underdog’, I’m not sure I can back him fully. There are some things like his composure that make me pause.
Ruud v Rublev Prediction and Tip
I won’t complicate this too much and keep it in line with what we’re seeing from the start of the event – close matches. Take the over.
Tip: Over 21.5 games in the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
