Where will the 2023 WTA ASB Classic be Played?

The 2023 WTA ASB Classic will be played in Auckland, New Zealand, at the ASB Tennis Centre. It is primarily an outdoor hard-court event that serves as a preparatory tournament for a busy Australian summer.

The tournament was upgraded to a 250-level WTA event in 2009 and was last won by Serena Williams back in 2020. The 2023 edition will mark 100 years of tennis celebration at the ASB Tennis Arena.

Linda Frhuvritova, 17, has earned a direct entry into the main draw following her top-100 breakthrough. As for her fellow sister, Brenda, at the tender age of 15, will get a wild card entry.

The purse for the WTA ASB Classic is not too dissimilar from its last staging in 2020. The total prize money for the tournament is $259,303, which represents about 3% increment from three years ago.

The winner is expected to collect $43,000 and 280 ranking points, while the finalist will pocket $21,400 and 180 ranking points.
