Our ATP Adelaide International 1 2023 Predictions & Picks
Novak Djokovic is unsurprisingly the red-hot favorite to walk away with the Adelaide International 1 crown. The Serbian superstar is a measly 8/11 to win the whole thing. But backing Djokovic at those odds might be unwise. He was slightly undercooked at his most recent outing in the World Tennis League, where he lost to Alexander Zverev.
The likes of Daniil Medvedev, Auger-Aliassime, Holger Rune, and Andrey Rublev have defeated Djokovic before, so they might have plenty of questions to ask the Serb should any of them meet him this week.
Last year we saw Maxime Cressy come out of nowhere and reach the final at the Melbourne Summer Set in a breakthrough tournament for him, so odds on an underdog replicating that feat are worth taking. Keep an eye on Jack Draper who at 33/1 looks like a decent shout.
Auger-Aliassime at 7/1 and Medvedev at 5/1 are both tempting to back at those odds. You could make a case for the Canadian who seems to have solved his final hurdle. Auger-Aliassime won three titles in a row at one point last season and has a penchant for the courts Down Under. At 7/1, he looks like a feasible option to go all the way in Adelaide.
Men’s singles winner tip: Felix Auger-Aliassime: 7/1
