Iga Swiatek v Belinda Benic
A superb matchup at the United Cup will be played between Iga Swiatek and Belinda Bencic. The Polish player has looked very sharp to start the year as the conditions in Australia suit her perfectly and she’s feeling supremely confident in her abilities.
Belinda Bencic is a similar player as she doesn’t lack any confidence, especially after winning the Billie Jean King Cup for Switzerland. She looked pretty strong in her first match here as well so she’ll fancy her chances against the best player in the world.
Realistically this should be a match that Swiatek win however Bencic could certainly pull an upset here. She did beat her the last time they played at the 2021 US Open. Overall it’s 1-1 between but it’s like going Swiatek’s way here. We do expect a competitive one.
Tip: Over 19.5 games: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Stefanos Tsitsipas v David Goffin
Both of these players already played at the United Cup and they both took on Grigor Dimitrov. Tsisipas defeated Dimitrov in three sets while Goffin lost in two sets. We can use that to compare them as Tsitsipas simply played more tennis to start the year.
So early in the season that’s very crucial as it takes players some time to find their best rhythm. They played plenty of times so far with Tsitsipas leading 4-2 but their most recent match was played in 2019. A lot has happened since then but the principles still stand.
Tsitsipas is the more talented player who is playing better tennis at the moment. Due to that, we think that the Greek player will win this one in two sets but it’s not impossible for him to drop a set as well. If you’re feeling bold you could opt for three sets or an over.
Tip: Tsitsipas to win in straight sets: 1/2 ( (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Rafael Nadal v Alex de Minaur
Rafael Nadal was unable to defeat Cameron Norrie but he might have more luck with another player whose flag has Union Jack on it. Alex de Minaur did not look his best in the first match he played but he’ll try to change that against Nadal.
It will be quite tricky for him as Nadal bested him in all of their three previous matches. None of the matches were particularly close either so there is something that simply bothers de Minaur when he plays Nadal. Playing at home will help to an extent but it’s unlikely he wins this one.
It’s very likely that Nadal wins this match and it’s likely that he wins it in two sets as well. He’ll be better prepared for this one and he played pretty well against Norrie at times as well. Take the straight-sets victory to boost the odd but a win is another good option.
Tip: Nadal to win in straight sets: 10/11 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
