Michail Pervolarakis has played for Greece for a very long time but he’s never done that good because he’s just not good enough. His only match so far at the United Cup was against Dimitar Kuzmanov who smashed him 6-1 6-1. That’s been his experience against the better players so far in his career.
He’ll likely face something similar against a very solid Borna Gojo who is a far better player than he is. The only chance he really has is if he can outserve Gojo which is not very likely. The Greek player has a solid serve and he does play his best tennis on hard courts but most of it is on the ITF tour.
Even there he’s not particularly dominant so it’s really hard to see what he can do against Gojo here. They never faced each other and he’ll be fresher overall as Gojo played a 3-hour match the day earlier but that’s his only advantage realistically.

Gojo Pulls Off a Heroic win
Borna Gojo pulled of a major upset win over Adrian Mannarino to clinch Croatia’s win over France pushing them into this matchup. It was a brilliant performance by Gojo particularly when it mattered the most as he broke Mannarino when he served for the match.
He then smashed him in the tiebreak thanks to his impressive serving and devastating forehand which appeared when he needed it the most. Those weapons are more than enough for him to win this clash against Pervolarakis doesn’t have either to that level.
The only issue he might face is being very fatigued as he played a late match and a long match against Mannarino. He’s fairly young so he should be able to recover in time but you never know as the conditions in Australia can be brutal.
