Jessica Pegula v Harriet Dart Head to Head
Jessica Pegula leads Harriet Dart 1-0 in their head-to-head. She defeated the Briton at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships in three sets.

Pegula Bests Siegemund for First Win
Jessica Pegula was made to wait for her first singles win of the United Cup. After losing her singles rubber against Petra Kvitova in a heavyweight contest, the USA have bounced back superbly winning all nine of their next rubbers and comfortably topping the group.
Pegula played her part in mixed doubles, winning a pair of them, teaming up with Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe. But of major significance was that she was able to get her first singles win in the tie against Germany on Tuesday.
The World No. 3 was on a four-match winless streak dating back to the WTA 1000 event in Guadalajara towards the backend of last season. But she produced an emphatic performance to dismiss Laura Siegemund in straight sets.
She averaged over 75% of points won behind her serves as the German found it increasingly difficult to get enough purchase behind the return. Now a much tougher test lies in store for the USA as they line up to take on Great Britain. Will Pegula play an integral role in singles again?

Dart Produced Heroic Effort Despite Loss to Badosa
Harriet Dart had Paula Badosa on the ropes for a set and a half, but she couldn’t quite finish the job with the finish line in sight. The pair put up an incredible dogfight in the first two sets as Spain looked to rescue the tie.
Dart established what appeared to be an unassailable lead, going 5-2 up against a nervous Badosa who couldn’t find her best tennis early on. But with her back against the wall, Badosa quickly recovered and won four successive games to lead 6-5. Dart bravely saved a couple of set points to force a tiebreak which she won against the run of play.
In the second set, Badosa was cramping badly, but after consultation with the trainer which involved drinking some pickle juice, she was energized and miraculously salvaged the match.
A tense Dart double-faulted at set point in the second-set tiebreak to gift the set to Badosa. The shackles were off at that point and Badosa began to swing freely in the decider. She won the match, but Great Britain won the tie, thanks to Dan Evans’ victory over Ramos Vinolas.
Pegula v Dart Prediction and Tip
Dart found it difficult to keep her nerves in check against Badosa. That defeat did not tarnish anything, but only delayed their win momentarily. But this will be a very huge hurdle to clear and potentially a must-win rubber for the Brits. From a betting angle, Dart stands a good chance of stealing a set here with the way she has played so far.
