Roberto Bautista Agut v Thanasi Kokkinakis
A chance to play in the Adelaide International final is on offer as Bautista Agut takes on Thanasi Kokkinakis. The native player is having a magic week once more after he captured his maiden trophy in the city last year.
Kokkinakis is looking very sharp. The serve is working well, the forehand is as good as ever and he’s being very aggressive returning the ball. Playing in front of the home fans and them cheering him on is certainly helping him as well.
Bautista Agut is playing really solid tennis as well. It’s the second week in a row he’s playing well. The Spaniard is really good on these fast surfaces because he has very precise shots that use the speed of the court in his favour. He doesn’t have the power of Kokkinakis but he’s far more polished than the Aussie.
It’s their first match ever and it’s going to be very close. I do think Kokkinakis could win and it would be foolish not to back him again.
Tip: Kokkinakis to win the match: 1/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Paula Badosa v Daria Kasatkina
After passing the Haddad Maia test, Paula Badosa will have a chance to play Daria Kasatkina once more. She lost two times in a row to Kasatkina and she will certainly like to end that negative streak.
Badosa and Kasatkina generally play very competitive matches but the Russian player had more success recently and it’s mostly due to playstyles. Kasatkina stands behind the line and sends many balls back while Badosa hits the ball hard hoping to end the points.
Due to that it mostly comes down to Badosa missing the court more often than not and that’s how Kasatkina wins the majority of her matches. Badosa is playing well to start the year so maybe it’s finally time for her to get it done. The H2H is 2-1 for Kasatkina right now and we’re unsure whether it might become 2-2.
We do think it will be very close so any kind of combination of three sets or over should be a good bet. It’s risky but it’s also likely.
Tip: Over 22.5 games in the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Cameron Norrie v Jenson Brooksby
Both of these players will want to book a final in Auckland, especially Norrie who essentially grew up in New Zealand and played for the country earlier in his career.
Playing in Auckland is very motivating for Norrie and he’s proved it this week with some impressive performances. The same is happening to Brooksby but he’s been a bit more lucky than Norrie and showed a slightly lower level overall.
Norrie has also played in the final before but lost it. Finally getting his name on that trophy would mean a lot to him and expect him to give it his all. They played twice so far and both won one match apiece. Brooksby’s win came after retirement.
I do expect Norrie to win this one and we do think he’ll get it done in two sets. He’s been playing some long matches lately so keep in mind it’s a bit risky.
Tip: Norrie to win in straight sets: 6/4 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
