Panna Udvardy v Camila Osorio Head to Head
While they haven’t faced off at the highest level main draw matches, there have been two other meetings between these players and Osorio has won both. One came at an ITF competition and another in the qualifiers of Wimbledon 2021.

Udvardy is more of a clay-court specialist and takes her time to get going in hardcourt competitions, although it must be quickly said she won her first ever ITF tournament on that surface last year.
That being said, Udvardy had ended the season on a high, having clinched the WTA Buenos Aires tournament in November.
What hasn’t happened for Udvardy is a good start to this season. Udvardy started off with a 6-1, 6-1 drubbing of Lily Fairclough in the opening round of qualifiers at the Hobart International but faced with her first stiff competition in Anna Blinkova, she disintegrated quickly.
Udvardy lost 6-4, 6-3 to crash out of the tournament and will now enter the Australian Open with just those two matches under her belt.

Osorio Yet to Play in 2023
She had risen to 33rd in the world last season on the back of her quarterfinal appearance at the Guadalajara Open and then ending up a finalist at the Monterrey Open. Osorio then made the semifinal at the Bogota Open in a WTA tournament played back home.
From that point on, however, Osorio’s form has fallen away so drastically that she enters the year’s first Grand Slam ranked 82nd in the world. To give you a perspective how badly things went for her, other than the aforementioned three tournament results, Osorio won just 11 of the 27 matches she featured in all year.
And this year, Osorio hasn’t yet played a tournament.
This could be due to the injury she suffered in Indian Wells last year following which she continued to play and might have aggravated things.
One way or the other, she will take to court here now and it would be interesting to see if she can win her first ever match at the Australian Open.
