The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 24 year old Argentine, and the Frenchman, who is a year younger.

Cerundulo Beats Compatriot Pella
Cerundulo would have known his first round opponent, Guido Pella well, a fellow Argentinian, a man much happier on clay.
And he soon seized the initiative, breaking Pella in the opening game of the match, and then again. Pella recovered one of the breaks and did have a further break back opportunity, but could not convert it.
Cerundulo then broke his compatriot midway through the second set, saved two break points on his won serve next game, and consolidated his advantage to move two sets to the good.
It was the same story in the third set. Cerundulo secured the break, and then Pella missed the opportunity to break back.
There was to be no denouement. Pella, serving to stay in the match, saved one match point, but not the second.

Moutet Survives Five Set Wildcard Battle
Any hopes that Moutet may have had about a gentle start to his Australian Open campaign were soon ended as he found himself embroiled in a five set battle with the Chinese wildcard, Yibing Wu, the world no. 114.
That did not seem on the cards when the Frenchman secured an early break in the first set, but then Moutet had to save three break points which should have served as a warning as to what was to come.
However, when Wu was broken again at the start of the second sets, there seemed to be no storm clouds on the horizon for Moutet. But then Wu broke twice to turn the set and match on its head, and it was all square once more.
Moutet needed to reassert control, which he did with two early breaks in the third set. Wu saved four set points, but could not prevent his opponent from regaining the lead.
Wu was by no means finished, and it was he who secured the first break of the second set. Moutet recovered it, but Wu immediately got it back once more to take the match into a deciding set.
When Wu was broken early in the fifth set, it seemed decisive, But the match still had more in store.
He recovered the break, but then dropped his serve again.
Moutet serving for the match, had two match points saved, and then had to save a break point himself.
Finally he claimed the win with his third match point, after more than four hours on court.
