Oscar Otte v Marc-Andrea Huesler Head to Head
Their only previous meeting came at the Hamburg Challenger of 2020 where Otte had won in straight sets.

Other than scraping through to a win against the 184th-ranked Dalibor Svrcina in the first match of the season he played at the United Cup, Otte has not had the best of times this season.
The German has lost three successive matches following that win, including one to Frances Tiafoe and two to players who had gone into those matches as underdogs.
Otte was sent packing in the Adelaide International qualifiers by Tomas Machac, before Juncheng Shang ousted Otte in four sets at the Australian Open.
In fact, Otte did not quite have the best of finishes to the previous season either as he fell to five successive main draw losses including one at the Davis Cup.

Huesler Shocked at Australian Open
While Huesler had made a good start to 2023, his last two matches have resulted in defeats. One of them, to Karen Khachanov, was on expected lines – at least according to bookmakers – but he would have expected to do a lot better in the Australian Open opener.
The Swiss player had gone into that first round match at the season’s first major as a 7/10 favourite against local boy John Millman but blew away a two sets to one lead.
Earlier this year, Huesler won both his United Cup singles matches and then defeated Arthur Rinderknech in the first round at the Adelaide International.
This follows a brilliant season that Huesler had last year where he was ranked 194th in the world around 12 months back and ended it 56th on the ATP charts.
He will have a golden chance to add a Davis Cup scalp under his belt here.

Huesler will be wary of the Otte serve and the support his opponent will have at home but he should still start a favourite here.
