Marton Fucsovics v Ugo Humbert Head to Head
Their only previous meeting came on the grass surface of Stuttgart in 2021 and it was Humbert who had won it in straight sets there.

Fucsovics had opted to feature at the Canberra Challenger to kick-start the season and he did rather well to win the title there to warm himself nicely for the matches to come.
And while the Hungarian fell in the qualifiers of the Adelaide International 2 in a shock loss to Robin Haase, he retaliated with a solid showing at the Australian Open.
He overcame Federico Coria and Lloyd Harris in the first two rounds and led two sets to love against Jannik Sinner in the third before his Italian opponent got the better of him in five. In fact, it would be fair to say that Fucsovics’ game fell away dramatically towards the end of that contest.
Fucsovics will choose to take the positives into this Davis Cup match though as he hopes to help his side send France packing from the tournament.

Humbert Also Made Third Round at Australian Open
While Humbert has otherwise struggled in recent times, including a poor previous season and an underwhelming start to this one, he did make it as far as the third round at the Australian Open.
And that’s what he will want to take with him into this year’s Davis Cup as he prepares to lead France in the qualifiers here.
Humbert had overcome the in-form Richard Gasquet and Denis Kudla in the first two rounds at the season’s first major before Holger Rune got the better of him in the third.
Other than that, the once 25th-ranked Humbert has lost in the qualifiers of the Adelaide International 1, the first round at the ATP Auckland and again in the opener of a Challenger tournament earlier this week.
