Czech veteran Tomas Berdych has made a decent start to the 2019 season, after being out for the second half of 2018 due to injury. Being a finalist at the ATP 250 at Doha, followed by by a semi-final showing at the Montpellier 250, Berdych has had positive results evidencing both intent and form.

Can Qualifier Ivashka Make a Match of It?
Little known Belarusian Ilya Ivashka broke into the top 100 of the ATP singles rankings for the first time in January of this year. He reached a career high 81, and is currently ranked 98. Having been successful on the Challenger circuit and represented Belarus in the Davis Cup, Iyashka will take a lot of positives from having made it through the qualifiers of an ATP 500.
Iyashka won his first ever Grand Slam singles match at the Australian Open this year, later being eliminated in the second round.
Berdych v Ivashka Predictions & Tips
Ivashka will be confident after making it through the qualifiers to the main draw. However, the challenge of playing the powerful Berdych on these hard courts where the Czech has done well in the past, will be daunting.
Although we can hope for a positive performance by Ivashka, it is unlikely to see this match go past two sets and a comfortable win for Berdych.
