Bianca Andreescu v Lesia Tsurenko
The only time Andreescu and Tsurenko played was a few years ago and Tsurenko won it because Andreescu retired in the third set. This will go differently because they are both playing spectacular tennis so far. Tsurenko has been having an amazing week and a great start to the year with a 9-2 record so far.
The Canadian had a solid start as well but she’s been really impressive in Thailand so far. Being the top seed certainly helped with the draw but now it’s time to back it up as she faces a tricky task in this one.
Both of them love to play aggressively but Tsurenko’s game seems somewhat more stable. Two times so far this week we saw Andreescu throw away a huge lead to complicate matters even further. That can’t happen against Tsurenko because she will get punished.
I expect a close one, so we recommend the over because I think Tsurenko can push it over. WIth the way she played so far this week, it’s a possibility.
Tip: Over 21.5 games in the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Lin Zhu v Xinyu Wang
Two Chinese players will go head to head to determine which player will advance to the final as Zhu continues her stellar form discovered at the Australian Open. She’s been really strong this week as well and enters the contest as the favourite over Wang.
Wang is an up-and-coming player who has a bright future and will certainly do great things in the coming years. She’s not playing as well as Zhu is right now and she was the beaten player in the only contest they had so far. It was a couple of years ago at the US Open.
This too will play on hard courts but both play their best tennis on the surface so neither will have an advantage here. The big advantage for Zhu is her form. She has played better tennis so far and I do think that that will continue.
I think she’ll cruise in this one so we recommend the handicap games on her. It’s risky but I think she’ll get it done.
Tip: Games Handicap Lin -3.5: 10/11 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Alycia Parks v Maryna Zanevska
Alycia Parks will put her winning streak on the line against Zanevska who is enjoying a really surprising week so far in Lyon. She’s never been the best indoor player as she loves clay but this week she found some solid tennis to make the semi-finals.
The better fit indoors is Parks who has been on fire in these conditions. Her powerful serve and groundstrokes do a lot of damage and Zanevska is quite weak against that type of play. It’s a tricky matchup for her so we think Parks has a really solid edge.
They never played before so it will be interesting to see whether the American can get the job done but if she plays her best tennis she should be able to.
The odd is a great one so we pick her to win the match.
Tip: Parks to win the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
